Branding, design and niceness.
Seesaw is an award-winning studio based in Melbourne. North Melbourne, to be precise.
We balance the services of a premium communications agency with a passion for the art of design. We’re about good work, good clients and a good studio culture. Ideas and images. Creativity and coffee. We love every part of what we do, and we love sharing it with our clients.
At Seesaw process is pivotal.
And collaboration is key.

Two creative directors.
The best creative work is a blend of different perspectives, ideas and experiences. At Seesaw our clients enjoy direct contact with not one but two creative directors.
Anita and Matthew oversee a friendly studio of client management and design professionals. You’ll find meetings full of good humour, clear outcomes and hot beverages.
Anita and Matt also believe in design for good. That doesn’t just mean good business for our clients or ourselves. We believe design can genuinely do good in the world.
As part of our social responsibility, each year we dedicate a percentage of our profits to work on a pro-bono basis. We take on branding and design projects for clients who would not normally be able to afford our services, but who we believe are doing great things in the community and who share our passion for positive change.
As Seesaw’s Creative Director, Matt truly understands the fast-changing worlds of digital media and branding, working across an array of disciplines from strategy to design. His creative approach is playful and intuitive with a strong conceptual focus, aptly combining the artistic abilities of a gifted graphic designer with mastery of the evolving branded space. Matt’s strong commercial acumen developed over many years of broad sector experience, together with his command of the art of design has been pivotal to our client’s market successes.
Anita has turned branding into an art form. As joint Creative Director she ensures that all creative expression flows from the core of the brand regardless of scale, channel or degree of difficulty. Anita excels in all the commercial creative arts: Visioning, strategy, concept, branding and of course, design. Recognised for the originality and artistry of her work, Anita is also a great collaborator with clients and colleagues alike. She has been actively involved in Australia’s creative and design industries, working with the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) and as an awards judge.
Kimberley joined Seesaw to oversee project planning and process efficiencies for the smooth delivery of all our client work. Kim balances the creative studio with numbers, structure, order and systems. Her cost control procedures keep a tight grasp on client budgets, as well as ours, while her management systems ensure we run a tight ship. In her role as GM, Kim has developed a deep understanding of design as an agent for change and success in business. She not only guides the commercial success of Seesaw, she helps ensure the commercial viability of the work we produce for our clients.
Known for her bubbly personality, Jessie is an accomplished designer with a passion for brand development and execution. Prior to joining Seesaw, Jess exercised her craft on an international scale as a designer for a number of leading agencies. As Seesaw’s Design Manager, Jess brings a rare and sophisticated appreciation of brand implementation across print and digital mediums in accordance with client objectives and brand guidelines. She plots, charts and manages the flow of all Seesaw projects, ensuring every assignment runs on time and on budget.
Merren has a naturally strong sense of strategic thinking which she applies to every project, from one-off concept designs to entire suites of creative collateral across multiple touchpoints. Actively involved in Melbourne’s design industry, Merren has held multiple exhibitions and has spoken at a range of forums. All of these impressive qualities aside, another reason why we love Merren is her natural hilarious quality which keeps us entertained daily. We value goodness as much as talent at Seesaw, and Merren is a damn good human.
Tess comes to Seesaw with extensive experience as a design manager in the education and publication sectors. Incredibly organised with an innate ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, Tess also has six years experience as a designer. Design may be her passion but nurturing other peoples skill and creativity is her strength. Someone once said to Tess that “you act as a bridge to engage relationships that inspire effective design and creative solutions.” This sums her up perfectly. Not only extremely motivated professionally, Tess has run seven marathons. Count that. Seven.
Senior Digital Designer
Jamie is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and an invaluable digital resource with over 12 years design and digital experience covering User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), motion graphics and digital advertising. As Seesaw’s lead digital designer, Jamie has amped up our digital offering no end. He is a master of the digital world and is way in front of trends and technology. From digital strategy to content planning to writing a spot of code, Jamie has all the skills required to create an integrated consumer experience across multiple touchpoints and platforms.
Adam leads the Seesaw Queensland office, bringing our offering to brands in the sunshine state with the same bold creative thinking and less wearing of black. With a background in both design and management, and a passion for strategy, Adam likes nothing more than talking about how creative thinking can work for business. Actually, some things he might like more include sci-fi, piloting drones (which to date has only involved one injury, to himself) and spending time with his beautiful family.
As one of our brand managers, Bridget applies both her broad project strategy and detailed, collaborative approach to a wide range of projects for our clients. As well as finely honed high-level production managerial skills, Bridget has come to us with an impressive history of design having co-created The Great New Zealand Cookbook (a mere 125,00 copies sold) and illustrated an adult colouring book published in seven countries. Being both design driven and service driven (and super friendly) makes all of us, and our clients, feel in excellent hands with Bridget.
Fleur comes to Seesaw with a background in video production and theatre. She is also an accomplished actor and writer who has had short films screened in festivals around the world. We are frankly in awe of her many talents, including looking after her hilarious toddler and keeping her cat alive at the ripe old age of 17. As Fleur can clearly keep children, animals and Hollywood divas happy, she should be fine looking after us here at Seesaw.
Emily is an award-winning designer who comes to Seesaw with a love of big ideas, the big picture and general big-ness. (This is someone who at age 14 completed the Great Australia Bike Ride – a mere 650km in ten days.) She also has the rare skill of distilling big ideas into smaller moving parts with strategic and smart thinking, and then ensuring everything comes together beautifully. Three more random Emily facts: she likes the snow, she is a keen tennis player and she grew up with a bearded dragon named Norbert. She also tells us she is utterly petrified of reptiles, however we still don’t know if Norbert is to blame for this. Frankly, there are a lot of unanswered questions about Norbert.
It’s nice to be recognised.
We work for our clients, not for our awards shelf. Still, we’re flattered to have been presented with various shiny objects.
