Brand Essence

Reduce. Restore. Revive. In a sea of problems, the solution is clear: by working together, we can make a real difference.

Redux brings together technology and people for the future of our planet. With global communities working on a local scale, Redux works to reduce the waste which chokes waterways, oceans and every creature struggling to survive beneath the surface.

Seesaw collaborated with the passionate team at Redux as part of our Design For Good program. After a strategy sprint, we crafted a brand with customised typography, pattern making and a suite of playful illustrations. These hand-drawn elements balanced the impressive technology and serious intent of the brand with a human element.

Identity

The fluid R of the wordmark represents drains and waterways, with the form extending as a pattern and running through the brand. The X acts as an expansive housing device – opening up to show movement, and action through the arrow forms. A deliberate choice was made to use unexpected colours for a water-based non-profit. The orange represents the markers used when a site has been cleaned, as well as the unnatural plastics which contrast with fresh ocean tones of teal and aqua.
