We had a lot to learn about Matt Forbes’ delicious products, via intensive product sampling, while studying his skill at artisan baking in order to create a customised identity for his specialist bakery.
We focused on Matt’s British heritage, just as he does in his savoury line. However, his famous sweet treats which really inspired the new look.
Incorporating the colour of macaroons and the scalloped edges of tea biscuits, we developed a seal of quality on a tight budget. We can’t take credit for the doughnuts, which are said to be among the best in Melbourne, but we did design their stylish outlet.
Cobb Lane – 13 Anderson St Yarraville, Victoria.
The bakery sold two hundred and forty of the aforementioned doughnuts in the first few days and rave reviews for Cobb Lane and its new brand identity keep coming.
