Design for Good

We believe in creativity as a catalyst for change and call this Design For Good. Each year, we dedicate a percentage of our income to pro-bono projects and donations that align with issues close to our hearts: gender equality, mental health, sustainability, equitable education and affordable housing.

We aim to provide $1 million worth of pro-bono studio time by 2025. So far, we have provided over $500,000 over the past six years. It has been an honour to do this for people making a genuine difference every day, such as Smiling Mind, CERES Environment Park, JOY FM, Victorian Pride Centre, Architects Declare, Archi-Pitch, Redux, UnderCover and The School of St Jude in Tanzania.

Gender Equality

Seesaw is a diverse and inclusive workforce where each person's unique perspective and experience is not only valued but celebrated. We’re committed to gender equality and pay parity. We’re members of and allies of the LGBTQIA community. We’re a place where all voices are heard.

Mental Heath

As highlighted in the Mentally Healthy 2022 report, our industry faces significant challenges, with 46% of individuals experiencing mild to severe anxiety and 33% exhibiting moderate to severe symptoms. We are playing our part to counter stress and burn-out in the creative sector by setting a standard for a positive, productive and wellbeing-first studio.

Sustainability

How can a creative studio do its part in this climate crisis? Since 2020, Seesaw has been proudly certified carbon-neutral. We foster responsible environmental decisions among staff, clients, and contractors and continue to find new ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Quality Education

UNICEF's findings place Australia in the lower third of OECD nations for equitable education access, from early childhood to post-schooling. We know that disproportionately affected individuals are from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those with disabilities, First Nations peoples, regional and remote communities, refugees, and asylum seekers. We collaborate with clients and organisations that champion equitable learning opportunities.

Affordable Housing

We support endeavours that address the housing affordability crisis in Australia. Together, we seek to promote communities that embrace diversity and are grounded in local character. Ownership and belonging are key, and we are interested in working with all in the property sector who share our commitment to finding better solutions.
